The Sweden Green Tech Building project was initially started by representatives of the green MD network. The idea came from the fact that Sweden holds the Presidency of the EU during the second half of 2009. During these 6 months the world's focus is on our country and it is a unique opportunity to show what we have to offer.
The fundamental question facing SGTB was: How can we increase Swedish exports of Green Business?
The SGTB project began in a building, in the heart of Stockholm, at Klarabergsgatan 37. The property, with its unique location in the city centre, was extremely interesting both as a meeting place and as a centre for showcasing green technology. The building with its large areas of space below street level has great potential. A Swedish showroom is now being built here for green technology, conferences and for events. Above ground there are five floors, four of which are used by the SGTB. This is where the partners are based and where they work together for greater knowledge and to develop their businesses.
Today there are some 25 partners in the project working for new green business. The SGTB is also by organisations and politicians who are interested in Swedish green technology and increasing exports. Read more about our partners under the ‘Partners' heading.

This is where the opportunities for us all to be future winners are created. Green Business There are many companies in Sweden that can supply green technology to the rest of the world through their system solutions, products and services, thereby pushing development forward in a sustainable way. We see that the need for green technology is growing in all markets.
The Sweden Green Tech Building is a meeting place for people and companies who are driven by green technology business. There is direct access to the companies and the expertise within finance, legal matters, technology and marketing - in fact everything that is needed to be successful in green business.
